All About Immigration

I had a recent conversation with my wife about a co-worker (Mexican) who's husband recently received his visa to enter the US. My wife said she can tell how happy her co-worker is. Who will not be? I know how terrible the waiting period is. I can really relate with her co-worker and the emotions that go along with the many months of waiting and wondering when the approval day will come.

A year ago, my wife and I were on the same immigration journey. I petitioned my wife so she can join me here in the US for good. We were a bit lucky because my wife got an interview appointment after 6 months of waiting. Five days after her interview she got her visa and flew here in the US.

Right now, we are already done with it and those days were on of the most memorable days in our relationship. She got already her 2-year greencard so at least we can have some time off from the immigration stuff. What is the next step? Prepare money (remember fee was doubled or more after the July 30, 2007 increase) and the papers for her 10-year permanent greencard and citizenship application.

I know what you're saying. My husband and I went through the same thing. Right now, we're on the process of removing my conditional residency so I can have a 10-yr visa or a permanent resident status. I'm hoping and praying there will be no more interview. Anyway, good luck to you and your wife! God bless!
